SS: Iron-Owl TSM Tinjimani
Sire: Iron-Owl Bleu’s Cougar BTS
SD: Iron-Owl TPMP Bleu
DS: Live-Oak JTB Typesetter

What Glo Bug may lack in stature she more than makes up for in other
strengths – including great breed character, a strong, straight
topline, and a well attached, capacious udder. We have retained
two of her daughters in our herd, TLC-Farms Oh Firefly and TLC-Farms
Next Love Bug. Glo Bug resides with Lesley Hersom in Willis, Texas.
Glo Bug’s 2008 Appraisal Score: +EVV 87 (Very Good in Head,

Buttercup, littermate sister of Live-Oak Cougar’s Glo Bug,
inherited the “big doe” genes that seem to have by-passed
Glo Bug. Unfortunately, the “long-ear” genes seem to
have bypassed Butter just a bit but the rest of her is certainly
outstanding – tall, deep-bodied and upstanding with a capacious
and well attached udder. Butter produced two does and a buck for
us this year from a breeding to Kastdemur’s Oh Zanzibar. Buttercup’s
2008 Linear Appraisal Score: AVEV 87 (Very Good in Feet, Good Plus
in Head and Back).

Juliet is a very tall, dairy doe with a capacious, well attached
mammary. She has proven her worth over the years both as a brood
doe and reliable milker. Juliet earned her milking star at a one-day
milk test in Arkansas after traveling for 11 hours with her companions
who were showing there. Juliet did not settle this past year and
we are considering retiring her from the breeding herd. Juliet’s
granddaughter Jamie Lee is our first permanent champion. Official

a dry yearling, Rosie was 2 x 1st, 2 x Jr. Champion, and 1 x BJDIS.
Primrose produced a buck and a doe kid this year as a first freshener
from a breeding to Zanzibar. Showing this year as a first freshening
yearling, she was first in all her classes. Switching over into
the two year old classes at the end of April, she was 1 x 1st and

Darby is the daughter of TLC-Farms Reflect Delight who I sold to
a friend last year. Like all my Key daughters, Darby is very tall
and stretchy and still a bit immature at a little over a year old
but developing into a very nice young lady, winning her junior leg
at the Washington County Fair last September. Darby produced a very
large single buck kid this year from a breeding to Beau. She freshened
with a lovely udder and has won all but one of her yearling milker
classes this year. 2008 Linear Appraisal Score: VVVV 86 (Very Good

the first time last year as a two year old she did not produce a
lot of milk. This year her production has improved dramatically
and her udder has remained soft and supple. A breeding to Zanzibar

Another lovely doe from Bev Wallace’s 4B herd, Sonny has
grown quite a bit over the last year. We’re looking forward
to showing her this spring. Last year the judges commented on her
strong, straight topline, and even as an immature first freshening
yearling they put her at the top of her class several times. Sonny
freshened this year with a single doe kid and a more capacious udder,
but still needs to mature a bit more. Sonny’s 2008 Linear

Sage has come a long way from the scrawny little doeling she was
in 2006. Showing alongside Sonny last year, they traded places at
the top of their classes. Sage’s udder is very well attached
with a smooth, extended fore and high wide rear. She has a deep
body, with a nice wide, level rump and stands on strong feet and
legs. Sage kidded in late May this year and I’m looking forward
to getting her back in the show ring. We weren’t able to have
Sage appraised this year because she kidded only days before we
were scheduled for appraisal.

DD: 4B Smooth Pumpkin Pie
Littermate sisters Cinnamon and Plum have grown into two very competitive
young ladies. Both are deep-bodied does with very level toplines,
strong feet and legs and excellent breed character. Cinnamon has
the longest ears I’ve ever seen on a Nubian! Last year at
the East Texas Goat Raiser’s Association dairy goat show,
Cinnamon was Junior Champion and BJDIS in one ring and Plum, not
to be outdone by her sister, went Junior Champion and BJDIS in the
second ring. Plum was bred to Zanzibar and produced one buck kid
and one doe kid in early April. Cinnamon gave us a big single buck
kid from a breeding to Samson. Plum is spending the summer at Blue
Heron Farm while her sister has once again joined our show string,
winning several classes as a first freshener. 2008 Linear Appraisal
Scores: Cinnamon - VEEV 88 (Excellent in Head and Back, Very Good
in Shoulder Assembly, Front and Rear Legs and Rump); Plum - VEV+
